The Medical degree offered at RSU (MD – Doctor of Medicine) is a globally recognized medical course which spans for 6 years covering comprehensive clinical experience. The first 3 years cover the basic sciences. Commencing from their third academic year of study, Faculty of Medicine students have the opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of Paediatrics. Placement in clinical care, internal diseases, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology are also included in the teaching process where theoretical knowledge will be supplemented by practical skills.

Accommodation provided at Rigas Stradins University facilitates to an alluring experience which makes their study environments calm and excellent to work under. Main university building is just few steps away from the student hostel.
RSU provides hostels for students in two locations – “Dzirciems and Āgenskalns”. All hostel rooms are available with air-conditioning and heater rooms to combat climate changes. Both hostels are equipped with Different room options, Study and recreation facilities, On-site laundry facilities, Rehearsal Hall for dance, exercise and other activities.
The rooms are fully furnished: bed (bed linen, pillow, blanket and towels are provided), writing desk, chair, bookshelf, wardrobe, kitchenette (containing electric stove, range hood and refrigerator) and a combined shower and toilet bathroom. Kitchen utensils (pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, etc.) are not provided.
Hostels will be allocated on a sharing basis. Students can opt for single rooms, double sharing, triple sharing or suites which accommodates up to 5 people. Bookings can be made as per student’s preference.
